QUESTION: Upon reading the ingredients in many dairy and non-dairy products, I keep finding guar gum as an ingredient. What is it and what is it derived from?

ANSWER: Guar gum is used as a thickener. It is a natural product but it is produced with a potato starch or filler, added as a stabilizer.
